Plant Development Services, Inc. hosted a Spring Garden Road Show that brought together garden content creators, consumer press, and nonprofit horticulture leaders in the Southeast. The event kicked off in Atlanta, GA, and continued to Birmingham, AL, where guests were transported back in time to a retro-inspired setting.
Featuring new and notable plants from the Southern Living Plant Collection and garden goods from event partner OASIS Forage Products, the road show aimed to reflect the timeless cool of a classic road trip and mid-century aesthetic trends driving garden and home design in 2024. According to Corrina Murray, Director of Marketing for Plant Development Services, the goal was to bridge generational gaps and reach a diverse audience of engaged gardeners.
Guests at the event enjoyed a nostalgic experience with a vintage van showcasing popular Southern Living Plants varieties and a mid-century-inspired outdoor living room filled with colorful plant combinations and vintage-style decor. The setting provided a whimsical backdrop for socializing and enjoying the beauty of nature.
One of the highlights of the event was the interactive DIY bouquet and arrangement bar led by OASIS Forage Designer Sharon McGukin. Attendees had the opportunity to unleash their creativity by crafting stunning floral masterpieces with spring blooms and foliage from Southern Living Plants.
Media from leading consumer publications and influencers with a significant social media following attended the Spring Garden Road Show. The event aimed to engage a wide audience and showcase the latest trends in gardening and home design.
