A Place At Home Expands Its Northeast Presence with New Location in Connecticut

A Place At Home Expands Services with New Location in Southern Fairfield County, Connecticut

By A Place At Home – April 16, 2025

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – A Place At Home is pleased to announce the opening of its inaugural location in Connecticut, designated A Place At Home – Fairfield South. This endeavor is spearheaded by local entrepreneur Perrin Hamilton, aimed at addressing the increasing demand for senior in-home care solutions in one of the region’s most densely populated suburbs.

With a professional background rooted in operational strategy, Hamilton has previously worked with renowned companies such as DoorDash and Uber, focusing on launching and scaling service models. His motivation for establishing A Place At Home – Fairfield South is deeply personal, stemming from the challenges his own grandparents faced as they navigated the complexities of aging at home.

“Nearly every senior would like to age in place, but not everyone can do it independently or even with the assistance of family caregivers,” Hamilton emphasizes. He recognizes the rich history and community ties of local residents, stating, “This area is full of people who built their lives here. I want to help them not only stay here but to thrive as they age.”

According to a recent study by AARP, approximately 75% of individuals express a desire to age in their homes; however, only about half feel they possess the necessary support within their communities to do so. A Place At Home – Fairfield South aims to bridge this gap by offering a comprehensive range of services, including in-home care, care coordination, alternatives to senior living, and staffing solutions for local facilities. These offerings are designed to empower seniors, allowing them to sustain their independence and enhance their overall quality of life.

Hamilton, a resident of Fairfield County for more than three years and a father of three young children, is committed to making a positive, lasting impact in his community. “This is where I live, where I’m raising my kids, and I wanted to create something that makes a difference. By assisting seniors, we’re not only strengthening families but also enhancing the fabric of Fairfield County as a more interconnected, multi-generational community,” he remarks.

The newly established A Place At Home – Fairfield South will serve a wide range of communities in southern Fairfield County, including Greenwich, Stamford, Westport, New Canaan, Wilton, and Weston.

Dustin Distefano, Co-founder and CEO of A Place At Home, expresses his enthusiasm for this franchise expansion, stating, “We’re excited to welcome Perrin and his family into our franchise family. He brings substantial leadership and operational acumen but, most importantly, a heartfelt commitment to help families navigate the challenges of aging with dignity and support. We look forward to seeing him thrive in southwest Connecticut.”

This strategic expansion aligns with the growing recognition of the importance of supportive services for aging populations, reflecting a broader trend within the industry to prioritize community-based care solutions that honor individual preferences and foster well-being.

In an era where senior care is becoming increasingly crucial, A Place At Home is positioned to play a significant role in enhancing the lives of older adults while supporting their families and communities.
