Annual First Night Springfield Celebrates New Year’s Eve with Family-Friendly Festivities

As the year draws to a close, the city of Springfield prepares to welcome the New Year with its iconic event, First Night Springfield. Now in its 38th year, this long-standing celebration is recognized as the oldest First Night event west of the Alleghenies and has become a cherished tradition for families and residents alike. Scheduled for Tuesday, December 31, the festivities will run from noon until 8 p.m. at four notable venues throughout downtown Springfield.

The event is designed to be enjoyable for participants of all ages, with a variety of activities and entertainment options.
