The Mark Twain Days Festival is back this weekend, from Friday to Sunday, May 10-12, with a plethora of events lined up to celebrate the famous writer, Mark Twain. This year’s festival will feature a variety of activities, some of which are returning from last year, as well as new additions in partnership with Virginia City. The Twain Train will connect Carson City and Virginia City on the Virginia Truckee Railroad, providing a unique experience for attendees.
The Nevada State Museum is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Mark Twain Days Festival, where they will host family-friendly events and the Bow Tie Ball on Saturday evening. Visitors will be able to witness the minting of the Mark Twain Medallion on Coin Press No. 1, and Saturday will offer free admission to the museum.
In Virginia City, there will be tours at The Territorial Enterprise building during Mark Twain Days, along with other activities.
