The Kickoff Jam, a country music festival scheduled for Labor Day Weekend in Panama City Beach, Florida, has been officially canceled. The decision was made after the success of Gulf Coast Jam in the same location the week prior, leading organizers to believe that hosting a festival the weekend after Memorial Day would be more optimal.
The festival was set to take place at Frank Brown Park in Panama City from August 30th to September 1st and was expected to feature performances from artists such as Alabama, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Rhett Akins, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Randy Houser, among others.
Event organizers, Nashville-based Campbell Entertainment Group, have promised to provide refunds for fans who had already purchased tickets for the now-canceled event. It seems that the decision to cancel the festival was made in order to ensure a better overall experience for both attendees and artists involved.
