The upcoming Tribeca Film Festival is gearing up to showcase a star-studded lineup of talks and events, featuring renowned names such as R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, Jon Batiste, and Nas, among others.
Scheduled to take place from June 5-18, the 23rd edition of the festival will host appearances by Judd Apatow, Kerry Washington, and Succession’s Kieran Culkin in the Storyteller Series segment.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the Storytellers Series, featuring live conversations with Stipe and Batiste. Stipe will discuss Nat King Cole with music journalist Marcus J. Moore, while Batiste will also have a conversation with Moore about the legendary musician.
In a special celebration, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro will be in conversation with Nas to commemorate the 50th anniversary of “Mean Streets.” Nas will also introduce a screening of the iconic hip-hop drama “Beat Street” on its 40th anniversary.
The festival will also include a reunion event to mark the 25th anniversary of “The Sopranos,” bringing together members of the cast and crew for a special conversation.
