LatinxEd Unveils Policy Priorities for Latino Students at Annual Education Summit
On Friday, LatinxEd, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Latino students and their families, unveiled its inaugural policy priorities at the annual Latine Education Summit held in Greensboro, North Carolina. This significant event showcased the organization’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and outcomes for Latino communities across the state, reflecting an urgent need for systemic change in local schools.
The new framework, termed REAP, represents an acronym for Representation, Engagement, Adequate Funding, and Post-Secondary Pathways. This process involves sharing the personal stories of those directly impacted.”
