Mindful Wednesday – April 16th Edition

Enhancing Your Well-Being: Join Mindful Wednesdays and Thursdays at WPI

In today’s fast-paced world, the importance of mental health and wellness has gained unprecedented recognition. As stress levels rise across various demographics, educational institutions are taking proactive measures to foster a more mindful community. Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is proud to offer its students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to engage in mindfulness practices through its “Mindful Wednesdays” and “Mindful Thursdays” sessions.

These drop-in meditation sessions are designed to promote relaxation, focus, and overall well-being. Open to the entire WPI community, these sessions require no prior experience in meditation, making them accessible for individuals of all skill levels. Each session features guided meditations led by a certified meditation instructor. This approach not only helps novices ease into the practice but also provides seasoned meditators with a structured environment to deepen their experience.

Mindful Wednesdays take place from 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM at the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall, room 102E. For those unable to attend in person, the session will also be available via Zoom, facilitating participation from remote locations. In addition to the weekly meditation sessions, WPI is committed to providing ongoing support for mindfulness practices through its “Mindfulness Tools To-Go” email. Distributed every Friday, this resource includes summaries of meditations, relevant poetry shared during the week, and additional mindfulness resources. This initiative aims to create a continuous engagement with mindfulness, ensuring that participants have the tools necessary to incorporate these practices into their daily lives.
