New Family Entertainment Center and Residential Development Planned for Grand Park, Westfield, Indiana
Westfield, Indiana – In an exciting development for locals and visitors alike, city officials announced on Monday plans for a new family entertainment center and residential project adjacent to the Grand Park area. Local company GPS.fun is spearheading the initiative, which is set to build a sprawling 33,000-square-foot indoor facility near the intersection of 191st Street and Horton Road.
The indoor entertainment complex promises a diverse array of attractions aimed at providing family-friendly recreational options. Key features will include duckpin bowling, laser tag arenas, a full-service bar, a modern arcade, and an innovative game called “Krazy Darts,” which utilizes a laser projection system that accommodates players of all skill levels. This blend of traditional and contemporary games is expected to cater to a broad audience, making it an appealing destination for families in the region.
Complementing the indoor venue, a significant 40,000-square-foot outdoor area will enhance the entertainment experience. This outdoor section will feature a ropes course and mini-golf, further enriching the offerings available to patrons. The combination of indoor activities and outdoor fun aims to create a comprehensive entertainment hub that aligns with contemporary family leisure trends.
In addition to the entertainment center, the plans also include the potential construction of up to 104 two-story townhomes on the northern portion of the site. This residential component is expected to address the growing demand for housing in Westfield, providing additional living options in close proximity to recreational amenities.
Mayor Scott Willis expressed enthusiasm for the project’s potential impact, stating, “We’re excited to welcome GPS.fun to Westfield as another high-quality amenity for our residents and visitors. This project not only provides much-needed family entertainment for our residents but also supports our vision for the Grand Park area in creating a mix of entertainment and recreation options.”
The proposal was presented during the City Council meeting on Monday and is set to undergo a public hearing by the Advisory Plan Commission on May 5. If the final plan secures the City Council’s approval, anticipated for July 14, construction may commence later this year, with the entertainment venue projected to be operational by late 2026.
As Westfield continues to develop, this project represents a significant investment in the community’s recreational infrastructure, aligning with broader trends in family-oriented entertainment and urban residential development. Stakeholders and residents alike will be watching closely as this initiative progresses through the planning stages.
