Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating Earth Month by inviting guests to participate in a variety of interactive events and activities. This annual tradition at the resort aims to increase public awareness about nature conservation and inspire actions that can reduce everyone’s environmental footprint. Known as Disney Planet Possible, these efforts strive to create a more sustainable future filled with optimism.
To kick off the celebrations, a special Spring Flower Guide was launched, introducing guests to 36 different types of flowers found at the resort. Celebrities like Pan Hong, Chen Long, Wang Ju, and Zhou Jin, presented the guide in Mandarin and Shanghai dialect versions, adding a local touch to the event. The beautiful landscapes at Shanghai Disney Resort are designed by the Horticulture team using a mix of common and rare flowers to tell unique stories in each themed land.
On Earth Day, April 22nd, the resort will host the “ourHOME” Nature Conservation Forum, featuring speeches and panel discussions by invited guests, non-profit organizations, volunteers, and resort representatives. Renowned wildlife photographer Xi Zhinong will share his stories, raising awareness about nature and wildlife conservation.
As part of the conservation efforts, Disney VoluntEARS will participate in a project to collect trash and debris at Dongtan, a tidal flat in Chongming Island. Additionally, popular Earth Month traditions like the “Celebrate Earth- Earth Month Fair” will return to Disneytown from April 19th to April 22nd, offering fun and interactive environmental activities in collaboration with non-profit organizations and Disney VoluntEARS. Cast and community members can also enjoy nature-themed initiatives like the Disney Reading Together program.
