Sixth Annual Music Festival for Mental Health Featuring Kevin Morby, MisterWives, DJ White Shadow and More

The Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health is set to make a return on May 18 for its sixth annual benefit concert series. Headlining this year’s event are indie singer-songwriter Kevin Morby and pop quintet MisterWives. Additional performances include sets from Bailen and SHAED, with an afterparty featuring DJ White Shadow. Taking place on Jefferson Street in Bushwick, New York, this purpose-driven event will be free to all attendees and offer a variety of attractions from noon until late into the night.

In addition to the main acts, the Sound Mind Live celebration will also showcase performances from Estatic Dance featuring 2Mello, along with food and beverage offerings from New York institution Smorgasburg. Attendees can look forward to dance parties presented by House of Yes, a DJ bus from Junxion Alegra, and live art activations throughout the day. Emphasizing mental health promotion, the event will also provide healing activities such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, and sound bath sessions for those seeking a moment of relaxation.

While general admission is free, a VIP option will be available for those looking for exclusive festival access, merchandise, and entry to the afterparty with DJ White Shadow, known for producing hits for Lady Gaga. Donations and proceeds from the event will support the development of the Sound Mind Center, a wellness center focused on healing through music and sound, as well as serving as a live music and community space.

Chris Bullard, executive director of Sound Mind Live, describes the festival as more than just an event, but a movement that brings together artists, organizations, and people from all walks of life to celebrate shared humanity and foster community support.
