The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is set to host two virtual parenting classes this semester, centered around the acclaimed parenting approach known as “Love and Logic.” Scheduled for March 18 and April 1, these sessions aim to equip parents and guardians with effective strategies for fostering responsible and independent behavior in their children. Each class will take place from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM, providing a convenient time slot for working parents.
On March 18, the class titled “The Gift of Problem Solving” will focus on teaching participants methods to encourage problem-solving skills in their children. This essential skill set is designed to help children navigate challenges independently, an approach that is integral to the Love and Logic philosophy. The subsequent session on April 1, titled “Teaching Kids/Teens to Complete Chores Without Reminders,” will address the challenges many parents face in instilling a sense of responsibility in their children, particularly regarding household tasks.
