Immersive Disney Experience Debuts at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has launched an innovative exhibit that marks the first stop on a nationwide tour based on Disney Jr.’s widely acclaimed series, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.” This immersive installation invites families and children to step into a vibrant, interactive setting reminiscent of the beloved television show.
Lori Mozilo, Vice President of Current Series at Disney Jr., shared insights into the engaging activities that await visitors. “Guests can enter the clubhouse and assist Mickey in planning a surprise birthday celebration for Pluto,” Mozilo stated. “They have the opportunity to explore the clubhouse and meet all their favorite characters. The joy that this exhibit brings to children is truly magical.”
Jennifer Pace Robinson, President and CEO of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, echoed Mozilo’s enthusiasm, highlighting her own favorite aspect of the exhibit. “It’s like stepping directly into the television series. The real magic happens when we witness children’s reactions as they enter the space, filled with awe and excitement. This experience stimulates their imaginations and encourages them to engage actively with the environment.”
This exhibit will be open to the public until September 1 before embarking on a cross-country tour that will continue through 2029. As part of the promotional lead-up, the original “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” series, which debuted in 2006, remains a beloved favorite among preschool audiences and their families. The show’s engaging educational content has played a crucial role in enhancing children’s cognitive skills while providing entertaining themes that resonate with young viewers.
Additionally, Disney is set to introduce a new iteration of the series titled “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+,” which will premiere this summer. This updated version promises to deliver fresh adventures, replete with humor, music, and delightful surprises, ensuring that the legacy of Mickey and his friends continues to evolve. Rob LaDuca, who served as the executive producer on the original series, will return for this new chapter. He will be joined by Kim Duran, known for her work on “Mickey Mouse Funhouse,” as co-producer and story editor.
The partnership between Disney Jr. and The Children’s Museum is a testament to the ongoing popularity of the Mickey Mouse franchise and its commitment to interactive, family-friendly experiences. As families prepare to visit this unique exhibit, they can anticipate a blend of nostalgia and innovation encapsulated in the world of Mickey Mouse, serving both entertainment and educational purposes.
